Frequently asked questions

  • How does billing work?

Self-serve tiers (Community, Developer, Cloud Enterprise) bill monthly or annually via credit card. Sales-led tiers (Private, Sovereign) bill via contract — most customers choose annual or multi-year terms with NET-30 invoicing.

  • What happens if I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?

Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated charges for the remainder of the cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle to avoid mid-period feature interruptions. Workspace data and audit history persist across tier changes.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Self-serve plans cancel from the billing settings page; access continues through the end of the paid period and your data is retained for 30 days. Sales-led contracts follow the cancellation terms specified in your master agreement.

  • How do annual contracts work?

Annual contracts receive a meaningful discount versus monthly billing — the exact percentage is shown in your account checkout flow at signup, and varies by tier. Annual customers also receive priority access to new modules during the early-access window.

  • Where is my data stored, and can I choose a region?

Cloud Enterprise data resides in our default region (asia-southeast1, with an EU/US option available on request). Private deployments choose any of our supported regions at contract signing. Sovereign deployments run on your infrastructure (private cloud, on-prem, or air-gapped) — no data leaves your environment.

  • Why is there a 3-seat minimum on Cloud Enterprise?

Cloud Enterprise is designed for teams. The minimum-3-seat floor (per pricing decision SD-2026-05-04 Card 18) ensures workspaces have at least three collaborators — solo evaluators are better served by the Developer tier, which is purpose-built for individual builders.

  • Can I add more industry modules to my tier?

Yes — Cloud Enterprise and Private allow add-on modules at a per-user-per-month rate. Sovereign includes the full 23-module catalog by default. Module add-ons are itemized on your invoice and can be added or removed at the start of any billing cycle.

  • Do you offer a Proof-of-Concept or pilot program?

Yes. We offer a 30-day flat-fee POC for prospective Private and Sovereign customers, including access to one industry module, dedicated CSM time, and a written outcome report at the end. Book a Private or Sovereign consultation to scope the POC.

  • How does the marketplace revenue share work?

Skills and workflows you publish to the FAOS marketplace earn revenue on every install. The standard split favors creators — full terms are documented in the marketplace publisher agreement, available in your developer settings once you publish your first asset.

  • Which tiers include SSO and audit log export?

SSO (OIDC / SAML) and full ISO 27001 audit-log export are available on Private and Sovereign tiers. Cloud Enterprise includes a summary audit log; SSO is available as part of an upgrade to Private. Community and Developer use email + password authentication.
